Chemistry Demonstrations "Chemistry Demonstrations"

Chemistry Comes Alive! - Well, actually it's the next best thing to life. The Journal of Chemical Education offers Quicktime movies of chemistry demonstrations. Some of the demonstrations are a bit risky to do in person, so video may be as close to reality as you can get.

Delights of Chemistry - This site, sponsored by the University of Leeds, tells how to perform demonstrations and provides photos and movies of the expected results. More than 500 photos and 40 chemistry demonstrations are available.

General Chemistry Demos Menu - Indiana University has organized a set of chemistry lecture demonstrations arranged according to textbook chapter headings. You won't find fancy pictures or movies here, but you will get extraordinarily clear instructions for setting up, explaining, and conducting general chemistry demonstrations.

Chemistry Experiments "Chemistry Experiments"

Rohm & Haas Physical Science Lessons and Experiments - These clearly-presented physical science experiments are available for download in PDF format. Grade levels range from K-12.

Quick and Easy Activities - You don't need a lab to do these science experiments! Categories include preschool, early elementary, late elementary, middle school, and high school.

Science Experiments You Can Do - These physical science projects include making a volcano, experimenting with dry ice, playing with sound, building a lumia box, and more.

Kitchen Chemistry - These chemistry experiments and demonstrations are targeted for K-6, although they may also be used at the high school and college levels. References are provided for each project.
