DVD ResultsAbout DVD DVD Fact: Every DVD movie has a "region code" that prevents piracy and gives studios control over release dates. The code stored on the disc must match the one stored in the player for the movie to play. Thus, people in Asia can't play an American DVD to see extras not availabe on their local DVDs.
