Origami - Basic Folds - Download a .pdf (Adobe Acrobat) file here that will instruct you how to Valley Fold, Mountain Fold, Rabbit Ear, Pleat, you name it. Once you learn those, try your hand at Squashing, Wrapping, and Petal-Folding.

Origami - Fold Origami Roses - One of the most sought-after patterns, the origami rose, is taught online here. Several styles, such as the Standard and Kawasaki, are listed with diagrams. If you get stumped, join the discussion forum and work it out together!

Origami - Origami Diagrams - Here at the appropriately named, Paperfolding.com, they host origami diagrams to teach you the basic folds and bases. As a follow-up, you can then learn to make a paper-folded frog on a lily pad, a butterfly, and even C-3P0.

Oriland Origami Books - Oriland sells two very different origami books. Their first listing is "Oribana Delight" and contains instructions and pictures for flowers and vases. Their second offering is "Origami Chic" which can teach you to make everything from jewelry boxes to necklaces. All made from paper. A must-see.

Atrium Origami Books - Atrium Books features and extensive listing of Origami Books on their Japanese-based website. Site is in English.

Origami Books by Paul Jackson - The author of six books on Origami, lists them all here, on his personal website. He lists places to find his books and hosts diagrams for your immediate learning.

Origami Software "Origami Software"


Origami Flowers Software - You can select a downloadable, full version, program that teaches creation of origami flowers. The company also offers 'Origami Flowers' and 'Paper Animal Workshop' on CD. Prices are reasonable, but are cheaper if you are able to choose electronic delivery.

Oriland Origami CDs - Oriland has done it again with their creative, instructional CDs. They offer 'Oriland Originals', 'Oribana' (a combination of Ikebana and Origami/flower creation), 'Skeletons Team', and 'Origami Land'. You will be completely amazed by what the authors can teach you to create here!

Origami - The Japanese Art of Paperfolding - By using origami as a method of teaching mathematics, the software offered by Soiku contains some beautiful images and incredibly detailed diagrams. Check it out.

Origami Craft Studio - A visit to this page will introduce you to some great designs on CD. This program contains 230 patterns of animals, boats, plants, and many more. Screenshots are available on this page so you can have an idea of what they offer.

Kim's Crane Origami Supplies - One of the best features of Kim's Crane Origami site is the option to buy exactly what you want, in the quantity that you need. They list pages and pages of supplies, mostly paper, in an extensive array of colors and types. Prices are very good also. Don't miss this one.

Paper Jade - For the Origami connoisseur, Paper Jade sells regular and patterned papers, origami kits, and beautiful handmade washi papers.

Opane Origami Paradise - Opane sells a diverse range of papers, including metallics and transparents. You can even find specialized crane and peacock folding papers. If you're a novice, click on their "how to fold origami" link and have some fun!
