Six Flags Theme Parks "Six Flags Theme Parks"

Six Flags Home Page - This is the home page for Six Flags theme parks -- from here you can "pick a park", get calendars, news, and media information, and check out individual rides at the park of your choice!

Six Flags European Parks - The official Six Flags page for their European theme parks. Offers you a choice of French, English, Dutch, German, and Spanish interfaces. Check out Six Flags Holland, the European "flagship" park!

Six Flags Media Info - General information and press releases from and about Six Flags theme parks.

Six Flags Theme Parks - East "Six Flags Theme Parks - East"

Six Flags New Orleans - One of the newest Six Flags properties, the park has retained many of the old Mardi Gras and Cajun-themed attractions, and added two new coasters for its 2003 debut under the Six Flags name.

American Adventures - Atlanta - This unusual park is specially designed for kids under 12 and their parents. You won't find big thrills here, but lots of small thrills just for small people. Many rides have a maximum height restriction of 54". Pricing is very reasonable, too.

Six Flags Darien Lake - Buffalo NY - Don't miss Superman - Ride of Steel at this park... and ride it in the dark if you get a chance! Darien Lake also includes a full waterpark in the admission price, and both unique and classic family rides.

Six Flags America - Baltimore/Washington - Six Flags America is a combination ride park and water park, featuring over 30 rides, a full water park with slides, wave pool, and kiddie area, and currently promoting Batwing, a 50-mph flying coaster.

LaRonde - Montreal - This park, noted as "A Member of the Six Flags Family", also has a French website (http://www.laronde.com/fr/). This park features Le Monstre, the highest wooden roller coaster in the world. The admission price is a real bargain, at just $29.55 Canadian plus tax.

Six Flags Theme Parks - Midwest & Plains "Six Flags Theme Parks - Midwest & Plains"

Six Flags Great America - Chicago - The latest and greatest at Great America is the Superman flying coaster. But don't miss the Whizzer, a milder ride but the only spiral-lift roller coaster in the United States.

Frontier City - Oklahoma City - While Frontier City is not yet a Six Flags-branded property, the theming is consistent and this park features several coasters and other thrill rides as well as a fun-packed kiddie area. The pricing is reasonable, and the season pass option includes the separate water park.

Six Flags Elitch Gardens - Denver - The site features a movie of the new Flying Coaster. Unlike other flight coasters, this one features a solid gondola carrying four riders abreast. Other rides include the Twister II, a classic-style wooden coaster, and Shake, which flips riders upside down. Waterpark included in admission.

Six Flags St. Louis - The theming of the rides in this park seems a little haphazard, but The Boss, a huge wooden coaster built in 2000, is definitely one of the biggies. The park also includes a waterpark with a wave pool, slides, and a lazy river.

Six Flags Worlds of Adventure - Cleveland - Six Flags Worlds of Adventure is the largest Six Flags park in terms of acreage, and combines a ride park, water park, and animal park for a single admission price. At peak season, plan to spend two days to see everything.

Six Flags Theme Parks - West & Southwest "Six Flags Theme Parks - West & Southwest"

Six Flags Mexico - Mexico City - This site would be a lot more informative to me if I read Spanish. It is entirely in Spanish and does not seem to offer an English option. However, if you poke around you'll find pictures of the rides, which look like fun! Winter vacationers note: park is open year round.

Six Flags Magic Mountain - Los Angeles - Competing with Disneyland makes Six Flags Magic Mountain one of the most ride-loaded of the Six Flags parks. The park features rides of all types including many "firsts" and prototype coasters. There's also a selection of classics and kiddie rides. Nearby Hurricane Harbor is a separate admission.

Six Flags Marine World - San Francisco - Marine World combines a ride park with animal park and oceanarium. The newest coaster is ZONGA, a looping supercoaster described as a steel pretzel. More than 20 rides and a kiddie area, Looney Tunes Seaport. All this plus animal shows and interactive programs.

Six Flags Over Texas - The grand-daddy of all the Six Flags theme parks, Six Flags Over Texas is located in the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area. Nearby is the waterpark Six Flags Hurricane Harbor. The latest thrill is the Superman Tower of Power.

Six Flags Fiesta Texas - San Antonio - Now featuring the Superman Krypton Coaster, Fiesta Texas includes five other coasters, over 30 thrill and family rides, and a waterpark.

Coasterchild's Guide to Six Flags Great America - Offering you a choice of frames or dynamic menus, this unofficial site is a comprehensive guide to the Six Flags park ouside Chicago. The site also includes a Links page and a page of games for you to play!

It's Magic Mountain, damn it! - A worker's-eye view of the park, along with an extensive history of the rides and attractions. Some annoying pop-ups (due to being a tripod site) but overall a fabulous overview of Six Flags Magic Mountain.

On-Line Guide to Six Flags Over Texas - Planning on visiting Six Flags Over Texas? Here you'll find a fairly comprehensive guide to food, shops, rides, and attractions. Since it's not official publicity, you get the REAL low-down on how a visitor sees the park.

Six Flags Worlds of Adventure Online - Another comprehensive fan site for a Six Flags Park. The main page manages to give the impression that the site is hosted by the park administration, but a disclaimer at the bottom states that there is no official affiliation. Some annoying pop-ups and pop-behinds, but a very good site.

Six Flags Theme Park Insider - Theme Park Insider, which reviews dozens of theme parks all over the world, has a page devoted exclusively to Six Flags parks. The parks are grouped by location, and there's a list of the top attractions as chosen by readers.

Six Flags Theme Park Photos & Statistics "Six Flags Theme Park Photos & Statistics"

CoasterGallery.com - Sixty-six parks are featured on the main page of this site, including 15 Six Flags parks. As you might guess, all the photos are of coasters!

Joyrides - Amusement Park and Roller Coaster Photos - Currently featuring 24 theme parks, including 7 Six Flags parks, this site is photos -- just photos. The page for Six Flags Great America includes several photos of the Shockwave, which has since been removed to make room for a flying coaster.

Roller Coasters: Introduction - Richard Bannister from Ireland documents every coaster he's ever been on -- 220 to date, with photos and statistics giving the length, height, duration, number of inversions, and so on, of each coaster. Very interesting and informative site!

The Six Flags of Texas - Brought to you by Lone Star Mall, this page gives the history of the Lone Star flag, as well as a brief rundown of the Six Flags of Texas. The Lone Star homepage (link at the bottom of this one) carries hundreds of links for Texas history, government, cities, and famous Texans.

Six Flags of Texas - The Texas State Library and Archives Commission brings us this informative site describing different phases in Texas history. Interestingly, this site tells about variations in the flag designs under Spain, France, and the Confederate States of America.

Welcome to Texas Online - More than you ever wanted to know about Texas! You do have to jump through some hoops to find the six flags. Click on "History of Texas" in the side frame, then scroll down and click on "Texas Flags" in the main frame. The frames are bulky, but the information is clear and easy to read.

Six Flags Over Texas - A site showing and briefly describing and explaining the flags which have historically flown over Texas. At the bottom of the page is a link to other historic Texas flags.

The Six Flags of Texas - Brought to you by Sam Houston Memorial Museum, this site gives you a separate page for each flag, along with clickable links for a map and story related to that flag. Great for classroom show-and-tell!
